President Muhammad Buhari has cabs in to opposition’s to his Reserved Urban Grazing Area (RUGA). The project was designed to provide settlement for the nomadic herdsmen that lately became violent in their conduct. The Federal Government however claim that the idea was designed to stem the tide of herdsmen/farmers clashes across the country. President Muhammadu Buhari is reported to have suspended the idea pending further notice, Midwest Herald Community Newspaper has learnt.
The president, after consultations with stakeholders, MH gathered, has resolved to put away the idea for a thorough review and well acceptable approach to the menace constituted to national security by the constant clashes between herdsmen and farmers.
A presidency source that hinted at this development, said the announcement would be made soon with detailed explanations.
