President Mohammedu Buhari has appointed Mr. Louis Odion as his Senior Technical Assistant on Media. The appointment takes immediate effect.
Odion has over three decades experience in journalism, from National Concord to ThisDay and SUN newspapers, where he held senior editorial positions.
The ace journalist rose to become Managing Director and Editor-in-Chief of the National Life newspaper. On the political front, he was called to serve as Commissioner for Information and Orientation in Edo State, from where he resigned to his private professional practice.
In addition to several awards, the new Senior Assistant to the president got the nod of Nobel laureate, Professor Wole Soyinka to contribute to his book: “Green Cards, Green Gods”.
Louis Odion is a Fellow of the Nigerian Guild of Editors, Lagos State Ambassador for the Environment and a serial contributor to the editorial content of numerous Nigerian newspapers.
