Dear Compatriots, Readers and Friends, Happy New Year!

As we begin our journey into a New Year and a New Decade, let us be guarded by the infalable selfless words of Mohandas, Karamchand Gandhi, the famed Indian lawyer, anti-colonial nationalist, and political ethicist, who employed nonviolent resistance to lead the successful campaign for India’s independence from British Rule, and in turn inspired movements for civil rights and freedom across the world.

As we celebrate the Special Gift of seeing a brand new year, please accept Karamchand’s call and “Be the change that you want to see in the world” and our dear Edo State in 2020.

Remember also, according to Gandhi that “…the best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the service of others.”

Let us take firm hold of our civic and political rights to define our citizenship and political struggle.

Let us centre our economic and political demands around the right to free choice with the hashtag – “Take Back the Land.”

In exercising our moral right foro a transparent 2020 Governorship Election in Edo, we should be firm in demanding that the people’s voice must be heard.

If we all succeed with the “Take Back the Land” campaign, we will succeed in stamping out conflictual political ideology that is threatening to hold us down.

For sometime now, a seemingly aspiring godfather have been spewing bile through subordinate groups to cause disaffection and political hatred in Edo State. We join others who have spoken in unbroken language to condemn the activities of these few selfish and self-seeking individuals and groups.

We call for the challenge against unjust political relationship for the sole purpose of power that will continue inequality and waste.

Welcome to 2020, the year of unprecedented freedom from deception and freedom from misguided control of our lives.
