Like the proverbial tortoise, Mr. Adams Oshiomhole has found himself in a fresh crisis, this time, his colleagues in the All Progressives Congress National Working Committee are demanding his sack as the party’s National Chairman.
Those who want him out, insist that the former Edo State Governor is no longer fit to lead the party. They have demanded his immediate sack.
Trouble started this time for him, today January 14, 2020 when members of the National Working Committee (NWC) revolted against Mr. Oshiomhole, during the NWC meeting held at the party’s Abuja office.
The NWC members calling for the head of Oshiomhole insisted that he was no longer qualified to preside over the meeting of the party because he had been legally suspended by the Edo State chapter of APC.
The National Vice Chairman (North East), Mr. Mustapha Salihu, who had earlier stormed out of the meeting, told reporters that the reason for the fresh crisis is Oshiomhole’s unilateral endorsement of Mr. Waziri Bulama to fill the vacant position as APC national secretary.
More trouble seems to be in the horizon for the man reputed for riding the storm as Salihu and his colleagues at the NWC have threatened to drag Oshiomhole to the Department of State Services (DSS), and other security agents if he continue to preside over any meeting without vacating the court order legally suspending him from the party.
They also accused Oshiomhole of name dropping to cover his unethical actions against members of the party.
Salihu blamed all the problems confronting APC on the high handedness of the former former labour leader turned politician, insisting that he had ruled the party through covert means by dropping the name of President Mohammadu Buhari to ensure any decision went his way.
