The symbolic Festival Torch for the National Sports Festival, tagged, Edo 2020 travelled to Aso Rock and was received by President Mohammedu Buhari with commendations.
Edo State Governor Mr. Godwin Obaseki was accompanied by the Minister of Youth and Sports Mr. Sunday Dare during the Flags-Off Movement of the Torch of Unity of the 20th National Sports Festival “EDO 2020” in State House, Abuja.
In attendance were the Secretary to the Government of The Federation (SGF), Boss Gidahyelda Mustapha, Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Sadiya Umaru Farouq amongst others.
The Torch was presented to Mr. Buhari by the Minister Mr. Sunday Dare, who passed it back to the Minister and inturn handed it over to the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Sports.
