The leadership of All Progressives Congress, APC drawn from the South South states of Nigeria will meet today to take a stand on the lingering crisis that is confronting their party.
The meeting will take place at Edo House in Abuja and will be hosted by Mr. Godwin Obaseki, the Governor of Edo State.
Checks by Midwest Herald last night, revealed that attendance will be heavily subscribed. All the Ministers, apart from one will be present so also members of the National Working Committee state party chairmen and other principal officers.
A minister who spoke to Midwest Herald late last night described the meeting as the ‘cremation’ of Mr. Adams Aliyu Oshiomhole as the National Chairman of APC.
When reminded of the disapproval by the National Vice Chairman, South South, Mr. Hilliard Eta via a press statement, the minister dismissed the action as inconsequential and insisted that Oshiomhole remains sacked.
It will be recalled that Midwest Herald exclusively reported on March 6, 2020 that Oshiomhole had been sacked by President Mohammadu Buhari.
