Barring last minute change, the trio of Mr. Pius Egberanmwen Odubu, Engr. Chris Ogiemwonyi and Gen Charles Airhiavbere may have lost the opportunity to stand as aspirants in the controversial All Progressives Congress, APC primaries due to take place in June.
Earlier today in Abuja, the league of governorship aspirants under the umbralla of Mr. Adams Oshiomhole’s faction of the APC in Edo State, were screened by a committee to choose a consensus aspirant to face Governor Godwin Obaseki.
The screening panel is made up Gen Cecil Esekhaigbe, Mr. Lucky Imasuen, Mr. Patrick Obahiagbon, Rt. Hon. Thomas Okosun, Mr. Samson Osagie, Senator Alimikhena, Hon. Peter Akpatason.
Midwest Herald correspondent in the nation’s capital reported that the exercise was conducted under a tempered environment unlike the last outing in Benin City recently.
The committee submitted their report at about 3:45pm this afternoon.
