Attempt to disrupt All Progressives Congress, APC National Executive Committee, NEC called by Mr. Victor Giadom earlier today, June 25, 2020 was rubbished as virtually all the governors and leaders were in attendance.
Some supporters of Mr. Adams Aliyu Oshiomhole, the sacked troublesome national chairman betrayed him and attended the meeting, despite calls for boycott by his puppet NWC members.
One of those that left the diminutive ex Edo State Governor in the lounge is Senator Omo Agege who attended the meeting that held at the presidential villa, Abuja.
President Mohammadu Buhari presided at the meeting but the so called national leader of the party, Mr. Bola Tinubu was locked out as well as Oshiomhole who many blamed for the depreciation of APC’s fortune.
Expectedly, members of the pro-Adam Oshiomole National Working Committee, NWC quickly resolved to take legal action over the resolution of the National Executive Committee (NEC) to dissolve the national leadership of the party.
Buhari and other NEC members had during an emergency virtual meeting resolved among other things to dissolve the national leadership, and replaced it with caretaker committee headed by the former National Secretary and current Governor of Yobe state, Mai Mala Buni.
Midwest Herald investigation points to a fact that, the pro-Oshiomole NWC have concluded plans to challenge the ‘constitutional appropriateness of Buhari’s decision in court.
They are insisting that there is no provision of a Caretaker Committee in the constitution of the ruling party, insisting that they have many grounds of infractions committed from the resolutions of NEC.
“We will soon issue statement but we have resolved to head to court for the legal interpretations of the decision of NEC especially as it concerns our dissolution.”
