The ENDSARS protest that began about eleven days ago has gone bad in Benin City, threatening the safety of lives and property.

A while ago, the roof of the correctional facility located on Sapele Road, in the heart of Benin City was opened for prisoners to escape. In a video made available to Midwest Herald, the inmates was seen coming out from the green roof and running into the adjourning street.

The development no doubt may worsen the insecurity in the state.

As a preemptive measure, the authority is set to impose dusk to dawn curfew from today and also draft soldiers to forestall the activities of criminals who have hijacked the protest.
