The Edo State Governor, Mr. Godwin Obaseki, made his first appointment, since he assumed office for his second term earlier today when he announced the reappointment of Osarodion Ogie Esq. as the secretary to government.

Ogie appointment did not come as a surprise, because of his enormous contribution to the successes recorded by Obaseki in his first tenure.

Ogie along with the the deputy governor, Mr. Philip Shaibu led an army of pro Obaseki faithfuls in the bitter intra party struggle that marked the re-election of the governor in the All Progressives Congress, APC.

The SSG comes with rare political experience which he has gathered over 17 years in Edo State.

The latest appointment was announced in a short statement posted by the governor on the official Ig account of Edo State Governor, @governorobaseki.

The statement reads: “I have approved the appointment of Osarodion Ogie Esq., as Secretary to the State Government.”

Mr. Obaseki added that, “…this was the only political appointment to be made for now. All other appointments are deferred to the first week of February, 2021.”
