The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP on March 9, 2021 elected members of the South-South Executive Committee.
The exercise which took place at Obi Wali Conference Centre, Port Harcourt, produced Chief Dan Orbih, who ran unopposed, as the National Vice Chairman in the zone.
Shortly after the results were announced, the overtly hardworking and experienced politician declared his readiness to improve the fortunes of the party and promote good governance in Nigeria.
“I would like to appreciate everyone who came out to vote in the just concluded elections.
“By voting, you have laid the foundation for the advancement of our great party and country.
“Together, we will continue to build the kind of party and country we all desire.” Orbih vowed.
Governor Godwin Obaseki of Edo State, Governor Douye Diri of Bayelsa State, Governor Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta State and the the host, Governor of River State, Nysom Wike, all graced the event.
