The real reason why the Congress for Progressive Change (CPC) faction of the All Progressives Congress, APC wanted the services of Femi Fani-Kayode so badly has been revealed.

According to a source privy to the negotiations that brought the former minister back to the APC, Femi has been hired as a propagandist against Ahmed Bola Tinubu.

“The plan is to replace Lai Muhammed who is likely to stay with Asiwaju with Fani-Kayode.

“Those who brought him into the party are aware that he’s not a popular politician who can attract votes or even win his polling Unit.

“My brother, I see APC imploding as a result of the deliberate steps being taken against Asiwaju and his ACN faction of APC.

“With the desire of the CPC component to dominate both the party and the government to the detriment of the dominant partner in the merger, the ACN, APC seems to be heading for the rocks.

” All the recent crossings to the APC are part of the efforts of the CPC elements to replace the ACN stalwarts who are likely to leave the party once the implosion begins.”

The source stressed that governors Mai Mala Buni of Yobe State, and Yahaya Bello of Kogi State both negotiated a ministerial appointment for him, solely to” take handle Bola Tinubu.”

Meanwhile, Ebonyi State Governor, Dave Umahi, has labeled Fani-Kayode as a liar. The governor stated that the former Aviation Minister played no role in his defection from the Peoples Democratic Party to the All Progressives Congress.

The governor made his clarification today, Friday September 17, 2021, when spoke on Channels Television’s ‘Sunrise Daily’ breakfast programme.

Umahi described as an insult, claim by Fani-Kayode that he was instrumental in his defection last year.

The controversial ex-minister, who officially defected from PDP to APC on Thursday had made the statement while speaking to newsmen after he was presented to the President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari, by the APC caretaker chairman, Mai Mala Buni, at the Presidential Villa.

In his attempt to ascribe political value to himself, Fani boasted that he was instrumental to Umahi’s departure from PDP to APC.

“I was there and very instrumental when Governor Umahi joined the APC.” He boasted.
