Edo State Government has commenced the admission process for fresh intakes into the newly established College of Nursing Sciences in Benin City, the state capital.
According to the advertisement sighted by Midwest Herald, the application process starts September 28,2021 and ends on October 12, 2021.
Applicants are expected to be over 17 years of age and must also have optained at least, Five credits in WAEC/NECO examinations.
Intending students are required to pay the sum of N10,000 for application form and also remit N200 to the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria.
The Computer Based Test have been fixed for October 14 to 16, 2021. The release was signed by the permanent secretary of Edo State Ministry of Health, Dr. Osamwonyi Irowa.
It will be recalled that Governor, Godwin Obaseki, had promised that his administration will establish a college of nursing sciences, as part of his administration’s plans to reposition and integrate the state into Nigeria’s Medical Hub.
He stated this position when the Secretary-General and Registrar of Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria, Faruk Abubakar, led other members of the council to visit him at the Government House, Benin City, recently.
