The Edo Peoples’ Democratic Party, PDP mourns the passing of one of its leaders in Edo State and in particular, Etsako Central Local Government area, Mrs. Evelyn Igbafe.
According to a statement signed by Dr Tony Aziegbemi, the State Chairman, the party received the news of Igbafe’s death with “shock.”
The statement reads as follow:
“The Peoples’ Democratic Party, PDP, in Edo State received the news of the passing of Mrs Evelyn Igbafe with shock and sadness.
” Mrs. Igbafe was a dedicated, loyal and committed member of our great party.
“Her counsel was a blessing and added value to the development and growth of the party in not just in Etsako Central Local Government Area where she was a leader, but the whole of Edo state.
” Mrs. Igbafe was snatched by the cold hands of death on Monday, January 31, 2022.”
The statement concluded with a prayer for strength to bear the irreparable loss.
“We pray that God will grant her Family, Friends, associates, well wishers and members of PDP in Edo state and beyond the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss. We can only ask them to stay strong in this trying time.”
Mrs. Evelyn Igbafe was a firm unambiguous voice against what she saw as retrogressive and antithetical to her set beliefs.
