Oshiomhole Gambles Again, Boast to fix Nigeria as President

A former Governor of Edo State, Adams Aliu Oshiomhole, has declared to contest the 2023 presidency on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

After his initial shock, retreat, and denial, Mr. Adams Aliyu Oshiomhole, the sacked National Chairman of the APC, eventually declared his aspiration to succeed President Mohammed Buhari at Cyprian Ekwensi House, Abuja, today May 4. 2022.

Surprisingly, Mr. Oshiomhole was silent over his stewardship in Edo State, where he ruled with iron fist for eight years and left several unanswered questions.

The former governor rather reeled out his achievements as president of Nigerian Labour Congress.

He boasted that he would fix “all sectors” of the country and ensure a stable academic calendar of federal government universities by ending frequent strike action by ASUU if elected.

The highly controversial politician took time to applaud the achievements of Buhari and the measures put in place by the president to address the multifaceted challenges confronting the country, including insecurity.

He said he replicate President Muhammadu Buhari’s policies.

“My presidency would focus on policy issues that would deliver jobs, prosperity for Nigerians. We will deal with the issues of insecurity.

“I will assemble a cream of left of the centre economist to fix the economy. Together we will create a prosperous and secure Nigeria.” Oshiomhole stated.

Midwest Herald has earlier reported Oshiomhole’s dual aspiration – the APC senate and president tickets. All attention has shifted to Iyamho to closely monitor the manor man.
