Uncertainty may prevail over the burial of the late Emeritus Vice Chancellor of the University of Benin, Prof Osayuki Godwin Oshodin (August 9, 1950 – 29 May 29, 2022), following controversy over his obsequies.
This musing is contained in a ‘Public Notice’ that was released by the law firm of Afolabi Olayiwola on behalf of a certain ‘Osayuki Oshodin Jnr, who is claiming to be the first son of the late Professor of Health Education.
“The general public is hereby informed that first son of emeritus Professor Osayuki Godwin Oshodin (the former Vice Chancellor of University of Benin), is Osayuki Oshodin junior, whose mother is Barbara Ford, has never and not intend to authorize anyone to carry out the burial rites of his late bossom father on his behalf.
“The general public is hereby adviced to ignore any obituary notice or programme being circulated by anyone, as no one has his authority, consent or permission to act in this regard.” The public notice stated.
