The National Working Committee (NWC) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), today June 5, 2022, announced that winners of the party tickets will receive their ‘Certificate of Return’ on June 7 and 8, 2022.
This fact is contained in a press statement released by the arty and signed by Debo Ologunagba
National Publicity Secretary.
The successful governorship candidates and Atiku Abubakar will receive theirs in a ceremony due to take place in the party’s Secretariat in Abuja. Others, including winners of National Assembly and State Houses of Assembly have been directed to present themselves to the different State Working Committee of the party for collection.
This may eventually settle the controversy that has sorrounded the outcome of the primaries in Edo and some other states.
The statement reads:
“The National Working Committee (NWC) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) invites our Presidential Candidate, all Governors elected on the platform of the PDP, all Presidential aspirants, members of the Board of Trustees, members of the National Executive Committee, members of the National Assembly and all critical stakeholders of our Party to the Special Ceremony of the Presentation of Certificate of Return to all our Gubernatorial Candidates as follows: Date (Tuesday, June 7, 2022); Time (10am); (Venue) NEC Hall, PDP National Secretariat, Wadata Plaza.
“Please note that Certificate of Return for House of Assembly, House of Representatives and Senatorial Candidates of our Party will be issued at the respective PDP State Chapters from Wednesday, June 8, 2022.”
