Few days after the attack by suspected Fulani herdsmen on train passengers in Igueben, Edo State, a former member of Edo State House of Assembly has been kidnapped.
According to reports, the latest victim is Mr. Festus Edughele. He was reportedly kidnapped this Monday January 9, 2023 along Ugoneki road, in Orhionmwon Local Government Area, on his way from Ubiaja in Edo Central to Benin City, the state capital.
The former lawmaker Midwest Herald learnt was driving to board his flight in Benin to Abuja, the Federal Capital Terrory when he was seized by gunmen.
A distraught former Deputy Speaker, Festus Ebae told Midwest Herald that he was with the kidnapped former lawmaker in Ubiaja before the incident happened.
He described the incident as “annoying.”
