The outgoing Federal Minister of State for Budget and National Planning, Prince Clem Ikanade Agba has paid valedictory visit to President Muhammadu Buhari in Abuja.
According to Agba, the visit afforded him the opportunity to thank the president and to present the recent awards he received from the United Nations and South Korean Government.
Using his twitter handle, @ClemAgba, he tweeted: “I had the privilege of paying a courtesy visit to His Excellency, President Muhammadu Buhari, GCFR, today, to present the SDGs Champions Award and the National Award of the Order of Diplomatic Service Merit (Heungin Medal) bestowed on me by the United Nations in Nigeria and the President of South Korea respectively.
“Additionally, this meeting provided me with an opportunity to express my heartfelt gratitude to Mr President for appointing me into his cabinet to offer service by contributing my quota towards the growth and development of our beloved nation, Nigeria.”
During the administration of Governor Adams Oshiomhole, Agba as Civil Commissioner in Edo State, provided leadership for critical ministries, including the Ministry of Environment where he transformed the moribund Waste Management Board to an effective agency that consistently solved the challenges of domestic waste, especially in Benin City.
He was transferred to Ministry of lands to lay foundation for what is today’s Edo State Geographic Information Service.
Unconfirmed sources has it, that Agba may unveil his gubernatorial plans soon.
