The Federal Government delegation to the on-going Africa Cup of Nations, made up of Capt. Hosa Okunbo, Speaker Femi Gbajabiamila, Governors Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, Lagos State and the Central Bank of Nigeria Governor, Mr. Godwin Emefiele and others, last Saturday rained the thousands of Dollars on the victorious Super Eagles, in faraway Egypt.
In an online video monitored by our reporter, Mr. Amaju Pinnick, the President of Nigeria Football Association was heard announcing the various donations by members of the Presidential Delegation. The cash gifts range from Five Thousand Dollars to Twenty Thousand Dollars per player.
The elated players were seen singing and dancing to as Mr. Pinnick announced the donors. It is expected that the cash reward will act as incentive and motivation for the players who came from behind to defeat the 2018 champion, Cameroon.
The victory has qualified the Super Eagles for the quarter final stage of the competition.
