Midwest Herald reporter in Edo Central has just reported that Mr. Patrick Aguinede, Chairman, Esan West Local Government Council has been suspended with immediate effect.
A reliable inside source confirmed the suspension to our newsroom.
The suspension may not be unconnected with alleged contract scam and other sundry offences levelled against him by stakeholders in the local government area.
Some of the councillors told our reporter that the suspension is to pave way for them to investigate the petitions that are pending against him.
Calls to the embattled Chairman were not answered.
