My dear good people of Edo State. This is the hardest Press Release I have ever had to issue in my public life and I have issued plenty.
I received with sadness, news and images of the unfortunate robbery incident that took place (yesterday) Thursday the 23rd day of February, 2022, at Uromi, Edo State, which led to the sad loss of lives and properties.
The monies carted away can be recouped through the NDIC cover but not the lives cut short, so needlessly and callously.
I am particularly pained and traumatised by the picture of the slain pregnant mother. An expectant journey crudely aborted!
As we continue to come to terms with this dastardly act, I wish to, on behalf of myself as the Esama of Uromi Kingdom, my family and the PDP family, express my deepest condolences to the Onogie of Uromi and his subjects who have sadly been made to experience this harrowing incident.
I pray for the healing in the land whilst asking God to give eternal rest to those whom we lost so callously on that day.
May their beautiful souls rest in peace. Amen!!!
