The Co-ordination Activist for Network Refugees, a political platform for refugees and migrant self-organisation in Stuttgart, Germany, Rex Osa, revealed earlier today that the government of German has deported several Nigerians in a fresh batch raid across major cities. This is coming less than 48 hours after the attack on former deputy president of the Senate, Ike Ekweremadu, by his kinsmen and members of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB).
Confirmed reports revealed that the Nigerians left Frankfurt Airport at 8am Nigerian time earlier this morning and were expected to land at Murtala Mohammed International Airport early this evening.
Details on the number of deportee was not available as at the time of this report.
Those that were sent packing were randomly taken from different locations.
“The flight will be from Frankfurt on Monday, August 19 For those who have been given the information, the plane will take off by 8am and arrive in Nigeria between 2pm and 3pm.” Osa said.
The unlucky migrants were conveyed to a central place before they were eventually transported to Frankfurt Airport.
The Nigerians were picked up early in the morning from their homes and workplace by the police and were allowed to pack belongings not more than 64 kilos.
It will be recall that Mr. Ike Ekweremadu was attacked by an irate Ibo mob in Germany, where he was attending cultural events on the invitation of Ibos in Germany.
He was manhandled and escaped lynching by whiskers by irate mob allegedly to be members of the proscribed separatist group Indigenous People of Biafra.
