Following the exclusive report of the screening exercise in Abuja yesterday May 27, 2020, Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu today picked his nomination form as consensus aspirant of Mr. Adams Aliyu Oshiomhole’s All Progressives Congress, APC faction in Edo State.
He was accompanied by members of the league of pro-Oshiomhole’s aspirants, except the former Deputy Governor of Edo State, Mr. Pius Egberanmwen Odubu who came third in yesterday’s screening exercise.
More facts emerged late last night on details of the event that produced the former People’s Democratic Party Governorship candidate in the 2016 election as the preferred aspirant ahead of Gen Charles Airhiavbere, Pius Odubu, Mr. Saturday Uwulekhue, Engr. Chris Ogiemwonyi amongst others.
Midwest Herald learnt that the seven men and the prospective aspirants met behind closed doors ‘Ogun’ room at Transcorp hotel. Only one aspirant was admitted at a time without their aides.
Also present at today’s ceremony where Ize-Iyamu picked his nomination form were Mr. Ehiozuwa Agbonayinma and Dr. Ebeghe Amadasun.
