Two persons, a Doctor and another person have been reported to have allegedly tested positive to the deadly Coronavirus in the federal health institution, Irrua Specialist Teaching Hospital in Edo State.
But an independent source who claimed to have spoken to Prof. Sylvanus Okogbenin, Chief Medical Director of the institution, stated that no doctor has tested positive but a “staff” who recently returned from a trip. He also added that the person has gone into self-isolation.
All efforts to reach Prof. Sylvanus Okogbenin, Chief Medical Director of the hospital proved abortive.
It will be recalled that health workers in the referral hospital have earlier complained about lack of protective equipment and water, a situation they said will make their work difficult.
