Justice Binta Nyako has just ordered the extradited Mr. Nnamdi Kanu of Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) to be detained until July 26 2021 for continuation of trial.
The Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Mr. Abubakar Malami, had earlier today, June 29, 2019, told journalists of the arrest of Nnamdi Kanu , the leader of IPOB. Kanu was arrested and brought back to Nigeria on June 12, 2021.
The minister said the arrest followed a collaborative effort between security agencies in Nigeria and the Interpol. He was subsequently charged to court and Justice Binta Nyako ordered him to be detained until July 26 2021 for continuation of his trial.
