Hundreds of the so-called repentant members of Boko Haram and Islamic State West Africa (ISWA) who are being held in a camp in Borno State, last Wednesday 17, November 2021 protested to demand their right to slaughter cows for meat, and the concern that the guards at the facility were “looking” their wives.

According AFP, the riot was repelled by local vigilant groups that vowed to kill all the detained terrorists.

“Residents in the northeast city of Maiduguri laid siege to the camp, wielding swords, daggers and clubs, and threatening to kill anyone who left the facility.”

It is reported that over 250 terrorists, including women and children, staged the violent protest smashing windows and doors and threatening to move out of the camp if their demand was not met.

“The Boko Haram inmates went on a rampage this morning, breaking doors and windows and even attempted to leave the camp,” said Konto Garga, a member of an anti-jihadist militia.

Locals say the sect members still consider anyone not in their fold as an infidel, which may be the reason they want to be allowed to slaughter their cow themselves.

Guards at the facility explained that Boko Haram inmates have been unruly since their arrival in the camp, are have engaged in squabbles with them over their women, accusing them of “looking at their wives.”
