President Buhari Confers National Honour on Idahosa for His Contribution to Nation Building

President Mohammadu Buhari GCFR has honoured Hon. Charles Idahosa with a National Award of the Order of the Niger, OFR.

The award is in recognition of erudite politician and public commentator’s contribution to nation building.

Idahosa was a foundation member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Edo State and has served in various political positions in the state.

He served in the administration of Governor Lucky Nosakhare Igbinedion as Civil a Commissioner of Information and Orientation, after supervising the protocol and information units in government house as a Director.

During the administration of Comrade Adams Aliyu Oshiomhole, Idahosa helped to stabilize politics in Edo State when he served as Special Adviser on Political Matters.

In 2007, Idahosa was a governorship aspirant on the platform of Action Congress (AC), but was made to step down for Adams Oshiomhole, the eventual winner of that election.

A thorough breed media professional, Hon. Charles Idahosa is among the few politicians in Edo State who has continually stayed with the people.
