The end to the massive demand for the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC permanent voter’s card has continued unabated across the country, just as some traders in Benin City have closed businesses to obtain the all important PVC.

A visit by Midwest Herald reporter to some major commercial centres in the state capital revealed that several shops were closed on the instruction of union leaders.

Mostly affected are the dealers of building materials and other essential commodity on the popular Forestry Road and environs.

An execute member of one of the associations told our reporter that the instruction to close shops henceforth, at least once a week, was a “national directive to ensure that Nigeria is taken back from the All Progressives Congress and the Peoples Democratic Party.”
