President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s choice of Senator Godswill Akpabio as Senate President may hit the rocks.
The senate minority caucus met with Tinubu a moment ago and an insider informed Midwest Herald that the meeting ended on a negative note.
“The president found it difficult to ask for our support to ensure the emergence of Senator Godswill Akpabio as our president. He stylishly pleaded that we should let our choice be his choice.
“We told the president that our choice will be his choice and the person will emerge on the floor of the senate.”
Attempt to also placate the Senators elected on the All Progressives Congress (APC) platform, yesterday, also failed as only few honoured his invitation.
